UX Challenge

How can we take a successful product and transform it into a commercialized B2B application? As Lead UX Strategist, I was tasked with taking our current shuttle app, which is currently being used by GM employees, and develop an application that better suits a large, multi-national amusement park.

UX Approach

We first contacted the amusement park client to understand their product requirements and make adjustments based on their specific users. We then performed extensive gap analyses to update the original user and data flow diagrams to accommodate the greater complexity. Finally, we created a comprehensive user flow to pitch our re-skinned product to the client.

Final Product

The final shuttle app was very well received with the client. Because we
leveraged an existing product, we kept the design and development processes lean while attending to new functionalities and business needs. Ultimately, the client accepted our product for implementation.

UX Impact

UX was central to commercialized an existing product for new business
objectives. Driven by our involvement on this team, we were able to seamlessly integrate new user interactions in order to develop a successful, scalable, longterm business investment.
